AMC Drilling Fluids and Products has been selected as a Finalist in the Innovation Excellence Award category as part of the 2010 Western Australian Industry and Export Awards program.

The Western Australian Industry and Export Awards acknowledge the innovation, hard work and success of business in reaching new markets and acknowledge the contribution the WA Businesses make to the local economy through job creation and increased prosperity in the community. The Innovation Excellence Award for which AMC’s Solids Control Units is a finalist is for outstanding achievement in developing an innovative commercial product, process, service or technology.

The AMC Solids Control Unit is a unique product that allows general drilling operations to be conducted without the need to dig conventional ground pits providing an economical solution to operational services allowing complete management of the fluid process.

AMC was presented with a finalist certificate at the Royal Perth Yacht Club on 22 September 2010 for which for which Derek Loughlin, the Mineral Divisional General Manager and Ben Vorster, Group Marketing Manager, attended the special presentation breakfast.

The award winners for the Innovation Excellence Award will be announced at the 2010 Western Australian Industry and Export Awards Ceremony on Friday 22 October 2010.
